Work in Progress by mr-sarcastic1984 Work in Progress by mr-sarcastic1984
While taking my walk down by the lake, I came across these two guys, makin these two sand sculptures. Eventhough they weren't finished yet, they still looked amazing. Here is my favorite shot of one of the two. You can find the second one here:

**Update 7/3/07**
Heres the finished sculpture

means washed out, like the background in this shot is brighter and some details are lost, thats overexposed

thanks a lot, I always seem to have an overexposure problem somewhere haha, but I think you are right. The overexposure in this shot, really draws your attention to the sculpture :D

Awesome shot, and fabulous work by them in the first place. Not that you haven't already heard that about twenty-eight times. From a photographical prospective the subject is a bit under-exposed due to where the sun is, but I think the fact that most of the harsh color that would have been reflecting off the sand would have retracted from the subjects beauty. :salute: Half of photography is being at the right place at the right time, and you seem to have no problem with that. Great work.

I love sand sculptures! They are so cool.

When I saw this picture, it randomly came to me, "What would happen if some total jerk came along when they'd gone home for the day and decided to kick it down?" I don't know why. Maybe because it took so much work and looks so great, those people would be ready to kill if that happened.

hehe me 2. Funny you thought of that. They have a security guard, guarding it at night, but there was some idiot out swimming at 2am thurs night. He got out of the water and started climbing on one of them, but the guard kicked him off. What a jackass, he was proly drunk. Wouldnt doubt it since 2am is the closing hour for bars here. Oh thanx for the comments and :+fav: 's
